Profile Verification
Users can verify their profile with a fresh in-app selfie. If the verification flow approves the submission, the account receives a verified badge to help reduce fake or misleading profiles.
Location and Visibility Controls
Location is used to power nearby discovery and venue check-ins while the app is in use. Other users see venue presence or nearby visibility based on your settings, not your raw coordinates, and you can control date mode, nearby visibility, and check-in history visibility.
Messaging and Contact Safety
You can block or report users directly from the app, and CheckInDate includes contact privacy tools that hash phone numbers to help keep people in your contacts out of your discovery surface.
Reporting and Account Enforcement
Reports can be submitted for inappropriate photos, harassment, spam, scams, fake profiles, underage users, and other concerns. Depending on severity, accounts can be warned, restricted, suspended, or banned.
